How do I get these blasted decals off?
I tried some "goof off". All it did, was remove the black color from the stickers. They are a silver color now. I want to remove them completely. Any ideas?

If they are decals use a heat gun and a credit card or plastic ice scraper.
I use goof off for adhesive, which is the back part of the decal. You need to get the front of the decal off before you attack it with goof off. |

If you dont have a heat gun I'm sure your woman has a hair dryer you could use;)
I think if you peel them off you'll still see them the paint may still be shiney underneath and wont match your faded blue. perhaps with lots of rubbing you might be able too blend then in though |

go to the paint store and get an eraser. it mounts to a drill. itll take the sticker and the adhesive off.
but itll be shiny and new under the stickers, a hand buffing will be needed to blend it out |

Zippo lighter fluid worked for me when I took the factory pinstripe off my old T/A

i have used WD-40 with great success, give it time to soak in and they will lift off, if you don't have a heat gun.

an eraser costs 5-10 dollars, will remove stickers on several cars, and is the CORRECT thing to use that wont hurt paint, and is actually made for the job. right tool for the job.. |
