Question for you air bagged guys: Gas tank?

Hey guys, I'm in the process of installing air ride on my '77 Suburban, and it's pretty apparent that when the back goes all the way down, the fuel tank will be hitting the ground.

My question is, what are you guys that are laying frame using for the fuel tank? Ideally, I'd like something that sits in the factory location but doesn't hang below the frame rails. Does such a thing exist?

My tank has been patched before and it is leaking like mad, so I'm in the market for a replacement anyways.

In case anyone had the same question, a 25-gallon Blazer tank got the job done reasonably well. It hangs below the frame, but the remnants of the tow package installed on mine and the rear bumper hang a bit lower. Can drag tail without hurting the tank.

If you aren't scrambling to finish your truck before Rod Run like I was, I would suggest raising the tank an inch or two, just to be extra safe.

I Z'd the rear frame 4in which moved everything up and out of the way... But i was gonna have to move my filler neck so I made a shim for the tank to move it back down 2in so I could use the stock fill location...

Are you bodydropped or just bagged?

I also found a 4x4 suburban and took the skid plate off of it and put it on my 2wd... 1/8 in steel plating to keep from dragging tank
