panels for 71 CST
My 71 CST has very shoddy panels in the back inside. Does anyone know where I can get new ones? I've looked in LMC, GMCpauls, and classic industries.
Thanks  |
Atheys Classic Truck Parts sells for $ 425 pr. Try ricks as well they are in AZ

I've never seen the factory panels, but can't you just make them out of either sheet metal or plywood? I made a set for an 85 blazer and they turned out great. I actually installed a couple of flush mounted lights with switches for night time stuff, installed my speakers, and even got fancy with the covering. You can purchase fabric and foam cheap to cover it and it's as simple as spraying on glue and spreading the material tightly over the surface. I even got a little fancy and took some thing guage aluminum and cut some "S" curve designs out, then covered them in leather and screwed them over the final product to give a finished look.
I don't think that I spend more than $100 on everything...Much cheaper than $425. Just my $0.02. |
Thanks for the info. $425 is a lot more than I was looking to spend. Really there is nothing to them, a piece of cardboard with a vinyl cover. Making them looks like a better option now.

I wouldn't pay $425 either every once in a while you will find a boardmember with a used pair for a couple hundred. I was thinking of trying to get a long enough piece of door panel material and see how that looked noy exactly the same details but close. good luck
