I'm looking to replace the drivetrain on my 3/4 ton 4x4 chevy. The 8 lug rear end burned up so I would like to replace with with higher gears. Also replace the front w/disc brakes 6 lug. Found a 72 K10 blazer parts truck with good drivetrain with 3:73 gearing, possi. Will this fit without changing or relocating the spring berches on the axle ? Would appreciate any information.

thanks, Charlie

Yes, spring perches will be in the correct location.

I read somewhere that there was some difference between c30 c20 and c10 4x4 spring perch width on model changes 67-70 to 71-72 ? Do you know of that difference.
I'm just looking for an easy swap and if the 72 K10 4x4 blazer drive line would replace my my c-20 4x4, I'm good to go. So you know for sure that the width is the same? Appreciate any help.
Thanks ,Charlie

some c20's had leaf springs while most had coil. If yours has coils then, the rear from the k5 bazer will need the pads & trailing arm mounts added.

All the 4x4's are leaf springs...

Read above. c30 c20 & c10's are all 2wd. I guess you meant k30 k20 & k10. no biggie. I just thought you were going to salvage an axle off a 2wd to put on your 4x4. If that was the case then some 2wd's were leaf & some were coil. :burnout:
