Well guys, I have to sell something. I bought this truck planning on keeping it and selling the 3/4 ton I have for sale. I haven't sold it yet, so I thought I'd see if there's any interest in this one. Please feel free to contact me with questions or offers. I have to be pretty open on the price 'cause something has to go. I wouldn't be against parting it out, so let me know if something catches your eye.

Engine : vortec 350
This engine was a factory return from a GMC conversion van. It spun a bearing at 7000 miles. It’s been tore down, crank replaced with a nodular eagle crank and taken to the local machine shop and had the rod reconditioned and the bottom end blueprinted and balanced.

• K&N filter
•I have a series 50 3" flowmaster and a 3" cat along with a 2 1/2" to 3" Y collector (not installed)
• Holley electric fuel pump/Edelbrock pressure gauge/regulator
In the Cab
• somone's poor job at replacing driver's side floor pan

Chassis/Body
• Sheet metal isn’t perfect, but pretty good overall
• NEW tail light assemblies
• NEW head lights/headlight bezels (not installed)
• Both cab corners have been done
• Drivers side floor needs some attention
• NEW inner Fenders
• Frame has been POR 15 Coated

do you have some better pics of the body/interior? does it have AC? how many miles since the rebuild? any rust other then the floor pan? no exhaust?

Those are all the pictures I have right now. I'll try to get some more this weekend. It doesn't have AC. It has 0 miles on the engine rebuild. It has been run about an hour to set timing, carb, check gauges, etc. I'd have to look it over to make sure, but I don't think there's any rust anwhere. The inner fenders where it's usually the worst are new and so are the cab corners, and the frame's been coated. It has the Hedman headers on it, and I have the exhaust bought, just not installed. If someone buys it right away and wants me too, I'll have it installed for them.

Take 'er to the top

Smokin72on20s 07-03-2004 11:37 PM

its 2wd drive? also is it short or long bed? i wish you were closer..

jared stewart 07-06-2004 08:07 AM

Sorry about the long wait. I can only check this at work.

Yes it is 2wd and it's a short bed. I have family that goes to Colorado every Thanksgiving/Christmas and we could probably work something out. Or I would probably be willing to deliver part of the way for a small fee. Where in Colorado are you?

rambler 07-06-2004 03:44 PM

Sorry to but in here...I may be interested in it as well, primarly for the frame and drivetrain... but I think I may need a long bed. I will have to measure the body I want to put on it... where is Ewing MO?

jared stewart 07-06-2004 04:36 PM

Ewing is in the Northeast corner of the state. About 45 minutes Northwest of Hannibal if you know where that is. Try getting on Mapquest and do driving directions to Nelsonville, MO. It should find it. That's where the truck is.

thats a great looking engine bay...wish my vortec looked that good :)

Smokin72on20s 07-07-2004 02:07 AM

Hey, i'm in Denver. i have family out in springfield, and i have driven there many times. Do you have any pics of the body, interior, maybe undercarriage? Do you have all the glass? is it in good shape? what do you think the hp/tq #'s are on the motor? How is the chasis and suspension?

jared stewart 07-07-2004 08:08 AM

If the digital camera is here at the end of the day, I'll take it home and snap a bunch of shots. All the glass is in and in good shape. I'm a very poor judge of hp/tq, but it definitely has enough guts to roast the tires and set you back in the seat when you get on it. (a little side note, it also has enough snap to throw an old transmission and two sets of exhaust pipe out of the bed and onto the road when you punch it, guess how I know that :D )

According to DD2000 [and GM's in truck power numbers] its around 300hp and 380lbs/ft for a stock vortec motor at the crank. Also the vortec crate motor at 330hp is the same except for less compression but a slightly larger cam.

Here's some more pictures. I have several more, if you're interested in seeing them let me know and I'll e-mail them to you.

Smokin72on20s 07-08-2004 09:59 PM

yea send them to me a768678@yahoo.com

jared stewart 07-12-2004 10:29 AM

Email sent.

jared stewart 07-14-2004 08:16 AM

If anybody's interested, make me an offer.

I'll part the truck out also. I'm thinking $1,500 for everything minus the motor (and all relative accessories) and the tranny, or $2,200 with the tranny. Like I said make me an offer, I really need to move this stuff.

DriverDown 07-14-2004 11:52 AM

I'm very interested - just need to find a way to move it the 1000 miles to Austin, TX...

jared stewart 07-14-2004 12:06 PM

:burnout: ROADTRIP :metal:

DriverDown 07-14-2004 01:41 PM

In your opinion, is the truck dependable enough to make the drive - or would it need to be towed...?

jared stewart 07-14-2004 01:58 PM

The truck would definitely make the trip. But it's not licensed or inspected.
