the hood in the back looks like a 69-72 hood. i could be wrong but oh well.
|
your preception is correct, highboy.
Sorry that i didn't mention that before. It's all i could get at the time. With all of the guys in here wanting that style of hood or others that just have 67-8 hoods laying around, i'm sure that the buyer can get the correct hood with no problem. thanks again, sswj |

500, runs, is in decent condition? Whats up? where's the interest. It's in the Memphis Metroplex I need to sell this thing so i can get the CE68 up and running! sswj |
If I only had the $500+gas and a ride up there. But alas I don't, and the woman would kill me if I bought another.
If you still have it when I have the money we'll see what we can do, okay? ;) edit; quick question, I've never worked on a straight six before. "one of the side plates blows out oil at 2000+ rpm" What is a side plate? How bad does it "blow oil"??? |
How come all of the cheap projects are in (ok, near...) Tennessee... :whine:

"one of the side plates blows out oil at 2000+ rpm" What is a side plate? How bad does it "blow oil"???" reply: The side plates are on the passenger side of the Motor underneath the sparkplugs and above the cam. IF you remove them you would gain access to the Hydrolic lifters. there is a gasket on the plates. I dont' seem to have a problem when i run in or around town, it's when i run on a longdidstance trip and have to keep it above 60 or 2200. i would say it uses 3 quarts a month maybe. Chris said: "How come all of the cheap projects are in (ok, near...) Tennessee... " Reply: what part of iowa do you live in. I have some family in Hannibal MO which is just south of the MO IA line. Let's see if we can see what to do? sswj |
so it's just a gasket that needs to be replaced?
also, I didn't see any mention of the bumper in the list of replacement parts. I think I may have found a ride, now I just need the $500, and a way to hide it from the lady of the house. :banghead: |
sorry todd i sold it today here to a local guy.
He plans on fixing it up himself for himslef but if his 15 yearold (will be 16 on the 16th of July) wants it he can buy it off of his father. SOLD SOLD SOLD |
