is there an easy way to get rid of the old glue on oem style weather stripping for a 67-72? keyword being easy. i don't want to have to have to shave off the original flange if i don't have to. any help would be appriciated

Laquer thinner should work. If not, you might have to start shaving.

i'm sorry, i meant to change to a newer style, like out of newer vehicle. i guess i didn't really make that clear.

What are you looking for, the style with the metal inside the weatherstrip that you pinch on? Or something that would attach to the perimeter of the inner door frame? Even if they did make the latter style, it would still need a flange to seal against. I doubt they make it but take a look at soffseal......I am totally sold on their products and I use their product exclusivly. They make the best weatherstrip in my opinion.
