OT: 93 Grand Prix AC problem

So my ac decides it only want to blow out the defrost and floor outlets, not the dash vents.

It does this on whatever I put it on. Could this be a vacume line problem or what?

1993 Pont Grnad Prix 3.1 liter v-6

Thanks for any input.

yes ,, sounds like the vacuum line is off or broken.

should be one under the hood. look around the throttle body. one line should run to the inside of the car. theyre might be a vacuum ball under the hood

Check around the firewall or under the battery. My GF's 94 GA was doing the same thing, the hard plastic line under the battery shattered, I spliced it up with a piece of hose and its been good ever since.

Only problem now is the damn car is running rich and I can't figure out why.

I wish I had a nickle for every cracked plastic GM vacuum hose I replaced with a piece of rubber hose.

Just find the crack or break, finish breaking it if it isn't busted clean, and reattach the two ends with a piece of hose.

I have looked and looked, but only found one vacume hose. The hose goes from the rights side of the motor to a metal tube that is hooked to the side of the wheel well and is curled down with an opening facing down. THe other thing it is doing is under normal to heavy accelaeration, the blowing from the fan stops almost completely.

I'll see if I can find a vacume diagram somewhere.

Thanks
