Will 1/2t front springs fit into 3/4t a-arms?
 

As the title says will they fit? The reason I ask is my 68 gmc lwb is 3/4t and rides like a tank. Since I do not tow or haul anything significant I'm planning on converting it to a 1/2t setup. I'll keep the front intact except for the lighter springs (if they'll fit).

I have a donor 1/2t 70lwb frame that sustained some front end damage ( bent the frame a bit). And I'm planning on swapping out the entire rear suspension, heavy leafs & dana 60 for a 12 bolt and coils...
