Pictures of my 70 GMC

I will attempt to post a couple pics of my 70 GMC Sierra Grande shortbed. It has the 402 BB, auto trans, super custom, short fleet bed, I added P/S & P/B (factory stuff). This is basically how I bought it about 5 years ago. I'm the 3rd owner, second owner had it from 75-98 (trash hauler), only has 67K miles. What do you think??? I collecting parts to restore it properly.

WOW!!! is what I think! short fleet with a big block and factory tach!! :metal: :burnout: :metal:

I got lucky. Found it on a used car lot in the country near me. Paid $3000. Greg

That is an awesome find.

blazerholic 07-14-2004 10:13 PM

I'll say that's a DEAL!!! Around here one that nice would be an arm a leg and a left testicle. Hell there's a 68 long fleet at a Dodge dealer in town that they want $9800 for!! Of course it is pretty damn nice, but $9800????

Randy70C-10 07-14-2004 10:15 PM

That looks like a rare find, nice!

You gotta love a sweet deal like that! :gmc:

I left out that the original glove box sticker is in good shape and I found a good condition build sheet in the glove box. They all agree with the truck on the BB and other options and the numbers match the engine block!! Any idea on how many of these are around?? Greg

Sweet toy

gregbr 07-15-2004 11:35 PM

Yea, it's a nice toy, but the parts sure are expensive. Just mention BB and the price doubles. I have alot of stuff piled up waiting for the restoration.....new trim, new tailgate band & trim, new dash pad, some new emblems, factory A/C setup, factory BB compressor brackets, new wheel trim, new rocker panels. Always looking for a good price on something I need, since I'm not in a hurry for the parts yet. Greg
