Maybe there's some interest in just the truck without the engine.
Here's the specs-

• Sheet metal isn’t perfect, but pretty good overall
• NEW tail light assemblies
• NEW headlight bezels
• Both cab corners have been done
• NEW inner Fenders
• Frame has been POR 15 Coated
• new front breaks
• new dash pad

There is a small rip in the seat that the pictures don't show, but it's not that bad.
700R4 Tranny with about 20,000 on rebuild

I'm asking $1,200 without the tranny, $1,800 with.($1,000 w/o - $1,600 with)

what are you asking for the whole truck motor included? is that a pre 87 700r4?

Smokin72on20s 07-29-2004 03:13 AM

one other question, would it be possible to put the fuel injection back on the motor? what gears does it have? is it currently driveable? have you started the motor yet?

jared stewart 07-29-2004 08:37 AM

The 700R4 is a '91 model. It is currently very driveable. I've put about 3-4 miles on it probably. Getting everything setup. It has a pretty good snap to it and I still don't have it timed exactly right, but it's as close as I can get it by ear. I don't have any injection stuff. My cousin the other day said that he had an injection setup, but I don't remember what all he had. If you're interested I could find out. I'd have to check on the gearing, I know it's open but not sure on the ratio.

I'm asking $3,200 for the whole truck with the engine.

Thanks,
Jared

so the body is straight, with no issues, no rust? it just needs to be painted?

jared stewart 08-09-2004 03:36 PM

There is no rust on this thing that I've found. From the cab forward is in excellent shape (with the listed new parts). There are some rough spots where the C10 badges were on the front fenders. There is a small dent on the drivers side right in front of the rear wheel, wouldn't take much to straighten it out. The bed (depending on what you're wanting to do with it) might need some work. The exterior of the bed looks great, but the floor is kinda rough.
Without looking everything up, I'd say the stuff I've listed in post #7 should be worth no less than $500 or so, the wheels are in perfect shape, but everything I have is six lug. I need to get this truck sold so I can get my 3/4 ton running.

cochran63 08-16-2004 07:28 PM

wanna sell the dash pad?

jared stewart 08-17-2004 08:00 AM

Sure....I'll sell you the dash pad for $1,400 and the truck is free :-)
I'd really rather keep it with the truck, the dash looks pretty rough without it.

jared stewart 08-23-2004 08:51 AM

Somebody make me an offer that I can't refuse. Really need to move this truck.

Smokin72on20s 08-23-2004 03:43 PM

if someone is going through missouri to colorado, i would probably buy it.

JDL 08-23-2004 08:20 PM

You got any more pics you can send? Are you stil looking for a engin for the 84 3/4?
I am not far away. May come and look at it.

jared stewart 08-24-2004 08:06 AM

Jim,
I took some more pictures the other day that I'll email to ya. My plan is to take this Vortec and put it in that 3/4 ton. That thing is in too good of shape to just let sit there. I have a 1/2 ton 4x4 that I use to beat around in, but that 3/4 ton could be my "good" work truck.

Smokin72,
Do you know where Alamosa,CO is. That's close to where my Brother in Law and my Sister used to live. They are going out there for Thanksgiving, could probably work some sort of delivery out.
Jared

Smokin72on20s 08-30-2004 03:13 PM

sure, alamosa isnt too far away, so they are going out there for thanksgiving?

jared stewart 08-31-2004 08:18 AM

Yeah, they're heading out that way. They usually go over Christmas, but are going for turkey day this year. He said if they don't end up having to take their horse trailer out there that he'd pull the truck out there for you for a fee. If you're somewhat interested I'll have him figure up what he'd want for the hauling.

Smokin72on20s 09-01-2004 02:22 AM

would he put it on a trailer? see what he wants to do this.

jared stewart 09-01-2004 01:42 PM

Yes, it'll be on a car hauler. Neither one of us has done anything like that before so don't really know what it costs. He said it was between 900 and 1000 miles out there. He wanted to see if you thought $300 sounded too high or not. That would work out to be around $0.30 a mile or so. Let me know what you think.

Smokin72on20s 09-06-2004 06:43 PM

jared, did you say the truck has AC? do you have any pics of the extra parts you have for it? stock suspension height? discs in front drums in back? has it ever been in an accident? is the frame straight and true? So you earliest i could get the truck would be around thanksgiving?

jared stewart 09-07-2004 08:20 AM

No AC, all the extra parts listed are installed on the truck except for the wheels, but I can get pictures of certain things if you want them just let me know.

I believe that's the brake setup.

Doesn't appear to have been in any accident, the frame looks to be in excellent shape.

The earliest that I could possibly work out a delivery with my bro-inlaw would be Thanksgiving, but if you work out something else, it can be had anytime.
