you wont believe this

some friends of mine were at the beach yesterday throwing the football around in the water, my one friend threw the ball to clint but hit a guy by accident, when clint went to get the ball he was like sorry and the guy didnt react, he was just floating in the water sort of half submerged, they were kinda like wtf, is this guy just screwing around and kept an eye on him for a couple minutes and he didnt move so they went over there and he was dead, they called the cops and they came down and the one cop pulled off his belt and ran in the water like he was rescuing someone drowning, then preformed cpr, later they told clint and another buddy that they do that just so all the kids around dont freak out, but i cant imagine how weird that mustve been for them...i tried to find a link and the best i could was pretty brief but im sure tomorrow there will be more on the story, here is the link its about half way down the page

Let me get this right. You see some guy half sumerged in the water and you don't do anything but watch him for a couple of minutes???? How about pull the guy out of the water!!!

I heard about that sucker on the radio! I was going to go down to Gyro beach that day too - with my 5 month old daughter! That definately puts a damper on going to the beach huh!

Sounds like another one of those idiots that goes out on a boat, drunk as all can be, and decides it's perfectly normal to go for a swim at 1:30am, in the middle of a HUGE freakin lake, while pissed drunk! Sounds funny maybe, but there's been a few already this summer - and more to come I'm sure.

silvertonguedevil 07-26-2004 11:31 AM

Was he already dead when the ball hit him or what?

67cst 07-26-2004 06:08 PM

yeah he was allready dead, they just thought he was floating around, like he had goggles on looking underwater, i guess the waves were moving him around a bit and they just thought he was doin his own thing...guess not though

silvertonguedevil 07-26-2004 06:12 PM

wow, that's creepy! So, they were in the water playing where this dead guy was just floating around (I would assume pretty close if their ball hit him)? Do they have any idea what happened to the guy yet?

67cst 07-26-2004 06:21 PM

i dont think so, he was reported missing about 3 hours before he was found, i wouldnt be suprised if alcohol was a factor, he was only in about 2 feet of water too! its pretty weird, this kinda stuff seems common around here in the summer, thousands and thousands of tourists are in this town and weird shi t always happens

silvertonguedevil 07-26-2004 06:39 PM

I think I would find a different past-time. Watersports doesn't seem to be your guys' thing!

ChrisK10 07-26-2004 10:52 PM

You're right... I don't believe it...
