U bolt ?
where do you guys get your u bolts for the rear axle. i'm having one hell of a time trying to find them. i check every parts place even a tractor place. finally i went to see what they cost to have the machine shop make some for me and they want $25 a piece. thanks, Steve

Your local spring shop will be happy to make them for you. Just take the old one in so they have something to go off of. I usually pay about 25-30 dollars per pair with nuts and washers for mine.

Look for a "spring shop" like where they work on dump-trucks and stuff.
THat's where we get them around here. |
yeah maybe 20 or 25 for the pair sounds good but the machine shop wanted 25 a piece so $50 a pair. i thought that was outrageous. thanks guys, Steve

Ordered mine from the local auto parts store. They were a little too long, so I had to cut them off. I just brought in an old one and they measured it. About $30 for the set.

I ordered an extended u-bolt kit off of ebay for 30 some dollars. I was lazy and ordered a pair for the front axle (right side, w/ pumpkin) from a local Chevy dealer and with nuts and washers, and it cost $53.
