WTB 6Cyl Valve Cover
I am looking for a aluminum valve cover for a 292 inline 6. A 250 cover will also work. Thanks, Chris

valve cover
Did you try j.c.whitney? I did see they in the book before. :burnout:
I thought a 292 and a 250 were different.
Valve covers are the same, except for in the later years, the smog outlet on the side.
I tried online and couldn't find anything but that doesn't mean they don't have it.
I ordered 2 OFFY aluminum covers for mine and theres a 2 month wait for them to cast them. I looked for used everywhere with no luck, Built my side covers from a pattern out of billet with 303 cu in engraved in them. Seems the inline 6's are getting hard to find parts for lately.

You might try that question at:
www.inliners.org or try Tom Langdon's: www.stoveboltengineco.com Clifford used to sell them too. www.cliffordperformance.com |
Check some boat salvage places in your area, I got mine off of an old runabout with a straight six (appeared to be a 292) it is finned aluminum and cost me twenty buck's . I would have gotten the side covers but they are too tall (also aluminum).
If the side covers are too tall then it must be a 292 and you have a 250?
Clifford told me there's a couple of month wait for their covers also due to them using a new casting company. Thanks, Chris :)

Bryan68custom If you can still get them let me know what you want for them.
