Thanks Bouncy and Mister.Freeze
I needed two brackets for my swing-away tire carrier, and Bouncy sent me the two brackets so I could have them made. I had one bracket made, and the other one was given to me by Mister.Freeze for shipping. I just wanted to show my appreciation and tell others about how great the people on this board are.
Freeze- I got the bracket yesterday. Thanks! Bouncy - Your brackets are heading back to you via UPS. I've got a tracking number should you need it. Thanks! |
I'm glad it worked out for ya and I'm glad freeze was able to find you a bracket so you didn't have to spend a small fortune on having one fabricated.

Me too! That was going to be outragous. When you go to put your carrier on let me know how it goes. I tried to put your bracket up through the inside of the quarter where I believe it needs to go, but it wouldn't make it. It is really narrow between the inner and the outer panels. I'm not sure if I was trying correctly, but I was just trying it out after putting the new tailgate on.

Did you pull the tail light assembly? I figured that was going to be the only way to get it in there.
|
Ya I pulled both the tail light assembly and the sidemarker. There was room right above the tail light, but didn't seem to be enough to get the entire bracket in place. Above the sidemarker there is like no room at all. Mind had a little damage in the past, but it was pulled out. I'm wondering if it wasn't pulled out enough. I probably won't install it until after you do yours, so just let me know how it goes.

it is VERY tight fit. It took a little coaxing to get it out. The fact that it never fell out on it's own after 4 years is proof. Glad I could help.
|
You helped. You the man. I guess I'll give it another shot once I get to the point when I can really do some work. Thanks a ton!
