Hey Guys and Gals
On my 71 GMC there is a bunch of pine needles in the cowl peice or under it I guess you could say.
I need to get the cowl off and get these darn needles out. are there any bolts behind the fenders? or do I just take off the wiper arms and what bolts I can see?
Thanks for any ideas
Cethern

there are 4 bolts and screws along the front. 2 bolts under the hood, and 2 bolts you can get too with the doors open.

You Might Want To Add Some Thrash Guards, $20-$30 Bucks, Most Of
The Vendors Have Them, If It Stays Outside I Would Recommend Em. ;)

Thanks guys the trash guards will be a must for this old ride and my Blazer. The GMC has sat under a big pine tree for years before I got it and when we where do some work on it I saw the whole thing is darn near full with needles lol

I just added some fiberglass window screen to the bottom my cowl. I attached it with hot melt glue. It's been there for about 2+ years now and still going strong.

Here's what it looks like:

We have been installing 1/4" galvanized screening under our cowls. When the screen is painted flat black, it is really hard to see.

Works really good on leaves. Pine needles are stopped from getting in for the most part but if the turn on end they can get in as they are small in diameter.

Here is a pic.
