I found this today in a 71 Blazer. It mounts on the outside of the radiator support between the grille and the support on the passenger side. The white sticker on the top of the radiator suppot says the factory coolant is rated to -20 degrees F, and to maintain the level of coolant in the jug. I got the jug and bracket for $11, not bad for an item that is hard to find anymore :D

Nice find, Don! Wanna sell it? lol! I'll double your money! Never seen one like that. I thought they were mounted inside on the driver's side. Looks factory, though. Better save that pic, too.

Oh No! I thought I had the find of the day :( I do remember seeing that pic of yours before, but this seamed to be factory looking and all. I'll get a pic of the bracket and jug tomarrow before it gets dark, maybe it is an aftermarket :( Hmmm, sure Wynne! Naw, just kidding :)

DT, I had the same one in my 70. Have no idea if it was factory, dealer or owner. It did have a real worn label like the one you pictured. I will say, that even in Mississippi it is a crappy location. It has a tendacy to freeze up and crack much easier since it is in front of the rad support. I imagine up in the polar cap region you are in now it would even be worse. Probably a much better idea to have it behind the rad support, especially in your neck of the woods.

I also thought it was an odd place for it to be located. I envisioned road debris going through one of the holes in the grille and cracking the jug. It might be a dealer option, since you also had the coolant sticker on the radiator support.
