Looking for Step Bars
 

I have a '72 Blazer with a 6' chasis lift and have discovered that some people actually have issues geting into my truck. I figure a set of step bars would be helpful - I just can't seem to find them anywhere. I have contacted Iron Horse and Smitty Built and have struck out. Thought I would hit you all up and see if you could help me out... :bowtie:

Your probably not going to find anyone that makes them specifically for your Blazer. The rocker boxes make them a little difficult to mount, but it can be done. I've seen pictures of a few with the tube style and custom brackets that mount to the frame. The other option is to find the loops with a flat-horizontal mounting point and drill up into the rocker boxes. This is what I intended to do with my '69, it actually happening questionable. The down side to the steps or loops is that if you 4x4 it at all, they may suffer some damage, or worse, damage your truck.

Thanks for the info....gives me something else to look forward to fabricating. Who knew how much fun you could have with a stick welder, a hammer, and an adventurous attitude. :metal:

Carry a an old wooden box with a piece of rope attached so they can haul it in behind them once they've used it as a step to get in or alternatively stop giving lifts to people with short legs!

Welcome from Canada, I hope you mean your Blazer has a 6 inch lift and not a 6 foot lift :p
