4WD to a 2WD
Ok I know it's not the normal way but what does it take to convert a 4wd to a 2wd? Can you use a 2wd short box frame? Does that have to be cut down? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Could be the wifes new project, funny how when I brought home my 68 she couldn't believe I was going to put all this money into " that old truck what are you nuts?". Now she keeps telling me to " get it done already, I want to drive it!" :D

Short bed frames are too long. I would think it would be easier to just put the suspension from a 2wd pickup on the 4wd blazer frame, but that is just my guess.

it can be done, i'm gonna do it to the front anyway.........you will need a whole front clip front clip from a doner up to about '87. It will be a lot of drilling out rivits and hogging a couple holes, but with the doner clip you'll see where everything goes.........the rear is more difficult,,,,,,,,,2wd and 4wd frames are different and without swapping frames, you'd have to go the 4-link route, and if you are asking how to do it, its gonna be too hard........but i think the front is the most important.......front leafs ride like crap.....but the rear seem ok w/ the leafs......plus ride height is adjusted easier.........good luck, keep us up if you do it.....i'll get to mine this winter/spring.....
