that might have been me you are talking about. i just flip'd it for a hida-hitch. just finally got around to trying to install it. got all of the holes drilled now just need to cut through the roll pan. i just turned it upside down and made some new brackets and it sits right behind the license plate

which bracket did you have to add. the part that is on the end and do you kwow what model jeep you got yours from. thanks.

the bracket that has the holes in it that bolts to the frame. i cut what i needed off of the original brackets and had my friend take it to his work and weld it, because of the thickness and weight potential i wanted them to be deep welds. it was off of a mid 80's cherokee, not sure exactly what year. the frame rails were exactly the same width as my chev. if this helps it had a 'hurricane' 4 banger w/ a 5 speed and was a 2 door. i am finishing it up tonight, will post pics when done

well for those of you that like pictures here it goes.
if the pictures are in order......... #1 i found the four corners with a 1 inch hole saw so they would have a radius, then cut it out with a cut off wheel #2 all of the way cut out and sanded with a flapper wheel that fits into the die-grinder #3 i put some of the door edge protector around the edge to make it look good #4 front picture with hitch installed #5 side view with hitch installed |

#6 with stinger poking out of back (probably get a longer one so its not so close to the tail gate but it works)
#7 plate back on and #8 hitch reveal underneath |
