power mirror install

I have a vehicle that came with manual mirrors and are planning (one day) to install power mirrors. I have acquired the proper harnesses to install them, I believe it is a 7-pin connection. I understand that there are also heated mirrors available. Do the heated mirrors work with the 7-pin configuration? What original models were these available on besides Denalis and Escalades? Also, does anyone know if the OBD Denali/Escalade mirrors had any extra features such as signal lights, puddle lights, (heated I already know) or auto-dim? From an earlier posting I found that someone had a 9-pin configuration...what was that for? Thanks.

I think tahoes/yukons and suburban/yukon XLs had options for heated and powered mirrors. Some chevy/ gmc trucks also came with them.

What year and model are you trying to install on?

The OBS Denali and Escalde had auto-dim and heat on the ext. mirrors.
No puddles or signals until NBS.

Trying to install on a 97 Suburban with complete 99 Tahoe wiring. I imagine the auto-dim feature connects somehow to the sensor on the rearview?
