Steering linkage length

2 Attachment(s)
Does anybody know if there is a difference in the manual to power steering linkage? I had manual and am putting on power. I also am putting in a Ididit steering column. I would like to get it as close to the dash as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Stock....There is no difference in steering column length. The shaft on a manual steering gear box is longer than on a power steering gear box. Not sure what style hookup you have on your ididit column. I had one in the past and it used a double D shaft which hooked up to a U joint that had one end splined ( steering box ) and the other end of the U joint accepted the double D shaft ( other end would slip into the end of the steering column) and also had an isolation joint built into it so you wouldn't feel vibration through the steering column. If you are using the double D shaft, get everything mounted, then measure for the length of double D shaft so you can cut to fit.
