engine change-out - questions

I am installing a new 350 in my 84 Chevy Silverado.

I noticed the intake did not have lockwashers on the bolts on the 305 I took out. Is that common and do I need to install a flat or lock washers......how about lock tight or anything?

Also, the torque converter was bad and I will be installing a new one. How much fluid do I need to pour in the dry converter before installing it?

And last but not least, there is a small o-ring on the end of the shaft on the end (engine side). Should I replace it?

Thanks in advance for the help.
Bill

I would install flat washers and thread sealer on those intake bolts.

Fill the converter with as much fluid as you can keeping in mind that you have to rotate it sideways to install it.
Fill it flat and keep rotating it up until you get as much in there as you can.

I always replace o-rings when I reassemble.
