Best carrier bearing?

I remember there being a tread and i've also asked this question, what is the best carrier bearing for my 68 c10.

The one at AZ is better than the last ones i've bought due to the fact that they've now welded the two upper halves together better where the housing bolts to the frame is better than before. It's 12.00 bucks.

But there was something better out there (a one peice is always better but where to find one?) and i can't find the link,

So what is the best Carrier bearing out there (it was yellow) for me to get for the new truck? sswj

Here you go. http://www.iedls.com/bearings.html The last one I got was green, not yellow. lol They are pretty nice, but they arent cheap either. I think with shipping I paid like $120. They will pretty much last forever though.

Back when my 72 was a LWB i used to go trough carrier bearings and u joints every 3-6 months. What i ended up doing is getting brute force u joints.. and taking a new carrier bearing from oriellys since they have lifetime warranty on bearings where as autozone only has 3 months.

Then weld the top part all the way around instead of being tacked and put a hose clamp around the rest. It lasted about a year and a half when i took it out to do the SWB conversion it was starting to stress crack so i took it back and got a refund to put that money towards New parts :bowtie:
