BB engine mount ?

Where does your engine set? In the front holes?
I have 72 mounts for my BB and I'm thinking it won’t set back that far if I use the same position as the mounts for the SB. They say you can use SB mounts but you run into problems. I'm wondering if BB mounts in the SB holes set the engine back some??? Right now I have a ton of room from engine to firewall with my 350. I measured the lenght of the BB and SB and the BB is longer from the motor mounts forward SO if my trans stays in the same location (will it?) then I should have lots of room for valve covers and HEI ?????????????????

Sorry for rambling but I'm getting close to putting this Bad Boy in and I need to know

Thanks
Steve

They go in the same 2 holes that the small block ones mount to. There should be another pair of holes in the front cross member for the lower 2 that will line up also. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

My biggest question is by useing holes as the SB , Does it change the postion of the Trans or is it just longer up front ?

Longer up front.
