uhmm temp gauge haunted.. hmm..

ok does anyoen got any idea why a temp gauge needle would peg past 220 and jam there during engine cranking ?
if i physically unjam the needle after engine fires up then it falls below 220 where its supposed to be and is fine after that, until i shut off engine and fire it up again.. if wire was grounded or sender was bad then it would stay pegged, so...

hmm... wierd...

anyone ?

Fast, I'd say you have a short. Possibly a bad ground. This happened to me a year or os ago and the sender was fine. The reason I believe, I just washed the engine bay and must have knocked the wire a little. I put a ground wire on my clutch housing from my battery. Then put a wire inside the cab from clutch housing to temp harness. Works fine now.

the gauge runs off of variable ground though.. IE the dk greeen wire..

the gause recieves hot feed all the time when ign is on

not sure how bad ground would affect it and not anything else in the panel.. so,

hmm.,
thanks
