what would cause my battery to go dead?? i had a short and fixed it. it's an 86 k10 with a 350 crate mtr. all i've done since fixing the short, was changing the starter to a mini,, i rewired the stereo to fix the short.. i've gone thru 3 batteries since last year.. i have a sears suv type any help would be great...thanks joe b... :banghead: :bowtie:

your alternator is probably eatin the things up. Go to autozone / advanced / kreagen / insert auto chain and have them test your alternator.
