Auto tranny trouble

Need a little help with my trans. My 350 auto will not shift into 3rd when the selector is in drive but if I shift manually it will. Checked linkage and tightened it up and fluid is full. What gives? Thanks.

check to see that the vacuum hose from the intake to the vacuum mod..on the trans. is hooked.....

if it is pull the hose off at the modulator on the trans...and see if fluid come's out.....if so the modulator is bad ....replace it.... :D

Got it working

Thanks for the help. I got busy last night and didn't see your post until later on. I stopped at Autozone and picked one up just in case I needed it ($9.95 if anyone should ask). I got under there and hunted around for it and found the line disconnected. Plugged it back in and third gear is back! I think it is about time to put a new piece of rubber hose on that dude it doesn't stay on very well. Once again Rage'nrat thank you very much.
