How hard would it be.....

to put a blazer body on a late model Lincoln Navigator frame and drivetrain? Is it possible? I can get the interior too.

Sounds like it would make a nice riding rig. I'm sure there would be a lot of fabrication required. Just by looking at the Navigator, I'd guess that the wheel base is a bit longer and a bit narrower. Do you know the measurements?

ughhh, yea and its a FORD! But seriusly, would you have a 4x4 or 2x4? Just wondering.

I don't have the measurements, but I can get them. Yes, I do know its a FORD product, but I will be keeping the drivetrain all CHEVY, I don't think I want those headaches. Does anyone have the wheelbase measurements of a blazer?

104" wheelbase on a first gen.

The wheelbase on the Navigator is 118 inches. I have to do some more measuring to be sure it won't be too much of a hassle.

What about the track width? It would look awfully funny if the navigator chassis is a lot narrower than the Blazer body

bad_turbo 10-24-2004 02:55 PM

Exterior Dimensions (inches / millimeters)
Overall length 206 / 5,232
Overall width 80.2 / 2,037
Overall height 77.8 / 1,976
Wheelbase 118.8 / 3,018
Track width, front 67.0 / 1,701
Track width, rear 67.1 / 1,704
Ground clearance 8.6 / 218
Front overhang 38.7 / 984
Rear overhang 48.5 / 1,231
Angle of approach 21.9 degrees
Angle of departure 19.8 degrees
Ramp breakover angle 17.1 degrees

Does anyone know the blazer track width?

if i was planning ondoing something like that i would find a mid 90's blazer or gmc 2 door full size blazer and just set the body over onto it , that would be pretty neat , probably the same ride with less work , and more than likley better looks , imo
