Attended the RM fall auction in Toronto today and was quite surprised to find a "1973 Early Edition Chevrolet Pickup" How rare is this animal. I believe that the truck was supposed to be auctioned Friday night and from what I can remember it was "Still for Sale" didn't catch the price, was too interested in looking the truck over. I did however notice that the prices on classic cars has been dropping all summer. My father and I went to the auction in Hershey P.A. a couple of weeks ago and the prices where in a real slump and the sale today reassured that fact. Again thanks for all of the help, keep up the great work.

Sounds like a typo error to me. Looks more like a "1972 Late Edition", LOL!

Hmmm, never heard of that.

The VIN will tell all. :)

Why would it have the 283 those were discontinued for the 307 in '70. Sounds like some one is trying to pull over a deal with a 73 title. 73 was competely redesigned truck not at all like 67-72 trucks other than front suspension components. Even if it were a hold over until 73, it would still be titled as a 72. What components did the interior have and could you see the vin in glove box or on the door?

Actually, the 283 was a 67 only engine on the trucks. I noticed that on the add too.
Any chance of getting ahold of some oen to get the VIN?

I was shocked to see it, while we where looking at it, a friend of our's walked by and asked us too look at this '28 Packard that was going across the block so alas I did not get to give the full once over. The only thing that I can tell you about the truck is that someone put stick on moulding across the tailgate instead of the proper chrome trim and that under the back window was full of runs and bad bodywork. The rest of the truck looked amazing. I was leaning towards the typo theory as well, only because there was a F**d Ranchero there listed on the "Still For Sale" sign as a AMC Rambler Ambassador. Clealy we are dealing with amateurs here. Joking!!

Here is the truck that I had my eye on, I thought that it would look nice behind the '68 on the car trailer, that way I could enjoy both at once.

Sounds like one of those "rare 3-door" Suburban sales.
