cant find one around here.

not a big deal really. the only thing stronger on the 12bolt is the casing and the ring and pinion. i forgot what it is, but something is actually smaller/weaker on the 12bolt compared to the 10bolt.

its the car 12bolts that are really strong

The Pinion shaft size is smaller in the 12 bolt, but it doesn't have bigger bearings and a bigger ring gear, not sure how much the size of the pinion shaft matters, but I do see broken pinions in the off-road world.

I would highly recommend buying your parts from Randy's Ring and Pinion. The price will be very close to that ebay auction and you'll get good advice and excellent service to go along with your purchase. Not only that, but they sell the best quality differential parts.

Here's a link.

this ebay dealer is the same guy who sells the eaton posi's for 12bolts for about $330. a few people on here have bought from him and really like the guy

I would highly recommend GearsRus. I got my Eaton Posi/Install kit from him, for $385 SHIPPED! If I were you Eric, I'd get a Girdle for that 10-bolt, just to be on the safe side.

I've spent over a grand with GearsRus. Always a perfect transaction!

Eric, BUY IT!!! That is the exact same thing that I bought for the same price last year. You will not be disappointed. If I remeber correctly I had the parts with 5 day from ordering. Great people to buy from.

i got the summit brand ring and pinion for my ford 9, it turned out to be realy FOMOCU stuff and a hell of alot cheaper than the liscences fomocu stuff too, just ask the summit tech who makes the part, because summit doesn't make anything, they just sell it with out any advertising
