I am considering purchasing a vehicle from Viking Dodge in Crystal Lake, IL.
Dont worry, its a GMC truck!

Anyone in this area? Any knowledge of this dealer?

I called and talked to the salesman, who promised me a "great deal" on the clean original 1996 2 door Yukon they had advertised with 33k original miles.
He went on and on about nice it was, and I told him I would drive 330 miles to buy it tomorrow. He couldn't wait to get me there.
Then I mentioned I wanted the vin number to run carfax on it. Mysteriously, it sold in the time it took for him to walk out to the truck to get it (I dont believe for a second that the vin wasn't on his sales sheet). Hmmm, something on the carfax they didn't want a buyer to know?
Anyways, false alarm I guess. I did smell something going on at this dealer, which is why I wanted to have an unbiased person verify this vehicle before I wasted a day off work.
If anyone drives by this place and sees a 1996 Silver 2 door GMC Yukon, I would sure like to hear about it! If you have time, stop in and say high to my salesbuddy Charles...

Wow, see what happens when yor computer has a virus, and you stay off the web for a while. I work in Crystal Lake, and do know of Viking Dodge. I also know that they get alot of used cars from auctions. As a matter of fact, I sold them some Tahoe parts I belive not all that long ago. Maybe the same one? Anyways, I drive there everyday. I'll see if she is still there.
