Raditator Problems!
Hi All, I picked up a new 4 core raditator for my old burb. It was my plan to reuse in my '72 Cheyenne when I put it back on the road in the near future. ;) But when I went to put it in the top and bottom rubber/ steel mounts will-not fit it. Is there such a thing as larger mounts? It had a 3 row in it to start with. And after putting in the heater core I see what you guys are talking about it being larger. But the it fit just fine with a little old yankee enginering. ;) I made new brackets for inside with large coat hangers that I threaded for 6/32 nuts on the end. Any help on this matter would be great. :D Thanks much, Tom. :flag: :flag:

Mr. Cheesewagon sir. I have an extra set of 4 core top holddown brackets. Would you be interested? How's $5.00 plus shipping? Let me know.

They've answered the problem correctly and until you get the 4 core upper & lower retainers & pads you can bend the engine side of your current retainers flat so that they will work to hold the radiator in place. When you remove your lower 3 core retainers you will need to bend the radiator support lip flat to install 4 core lower retainers in the support because they extend past the core supports lower rear lip.

They are still available at the dealer GM# 15502586 pad, 469850 upper retainer, 3901448 lower retainer.
