Want to buy: Automatic Transmission Linkage

Help!!! I need the automatic transmission linkage for 1969 C/10. I've searched all the salvage yards in the Atlanta area and no luck. Anyone know where to find it, or does anyone have one for sale?

I may be wrong. ( it happens ) but for my 67 that I converted to automatic, I used the linkage parts from a later model truck (mid 70's). It seems to work, although the piece that mounts on the frame opposite the trany needs a little tweeking.

If you want to go after market,Lokar has a slick unit.

I should have the complete set up, from the column to the tranny. I assume it is a 2wd truck? $40.00 plus shipping for a 350 turbo 2wd set up.

I'll move this to the parts board for you and make it a WTB for you.

Those linkage setups that are posted for sale there pretty often.

Good luck with your search,
Kevin

i don't think the rod linkage from lokar will work on '67-'72 chevy truck, i was going to get one for mine but after looking closely i think the firewall will interfer. i have a lokar catalog at home and will look up the price on the cable linkage.

The last lokar kit is $39.95 at summitracing.com, And it works great on my 71, stock linkage bites. the cable type is right around $100.

More info for those interested.

Some fellows put a little bend in the long rod part of the Lokar, but they do work fine, and clear the firewall rib too.

sorry i mis-spoke guys. it didn't look like the lokar rod would fit, glad it does though! i'll have to get one now :D
