Where can I get this type of connector?
1 Attachment(s)
Do they sell the connector for this end of the temp ssending unit at the parts store or do I have to go to the junk yard?. The factory connector is missing from the harness.

Buy an assortment of crimp-on wire connectors and ends. One of the ends in that assortment designed to slide onto spade connectors can be used. You may have to widen the gap on the connector some...or you can go to a JY and splice on the GM unit.

Thanks CPNE, I'll probably go to the junk yard to keep the factory style connector.

Mine was missing as well. I do not know where you can find teh connector, but I do kno wa work around that doesn't look too bad. Take a normal female spade type connector & bend it slightly open so it will slide on, & then pinch it shut again. it will hold itself in place just fine.

Sounds like an easy "Plan B" :D

You can get the metal crimp contact from Mad Electrical http://www.madelectrical.com/catalog/flat-blade.shtml
Part number 56F is what you will need. The plastic part can be made from most any single wire female connector housing by cutting a groove in one side of the plastic so the pin contact can slide into the female contact. Good Luck! |

Is there an auto electrical place in your town? If so, they would have the connector you want also. Won't have to scrounge junk yards that way. Just my $.02 .
