T350 to T350

I always thought that my '79 Suburban had a T400 because it has a cast iron transfer case but I was pulling things apart today to get ready to pull the engine and noticed it is actually a T350.
My question is will this T350 work in my '81 Jimmy that has a T350 and np208 (I think) transfer case. If both are original or are replacements of original is there any reason I couldn't swap them? Fit issues, spline issues, etc?
If I did this, I would leave the transfer cases in there respective trucks. This is why I wonder if there would be a spline issue. Thanks for any information.
