Q-Logic Kick Panel
 

I might have a few spare bucks after Christmas that I want to send on some q-logic kick panels.
I like the q-logics because they also have the tweeter hole.
I have a non factory a/c truck with the manually operated valves for air into the truck.
On the Q-logic website the kick panels look like the replace the top panel too.
Is this so?
Can someone post a picture of their q-logic kick panels?

Looks like the Roddoors ones will work just fine with the manual air valve thing. I would prefer to have a tweeter in there though. SO if the q-logics will not fit, Ill get the Roddoors ones.

No they dont replace the top panel, just the bottom

Here are some pictures of mine which I haven't installed yet. They don't replace the original ones in the truck, but mount over the existing ones.

you should check with your local stereo shops about getting a custom fiberglass set built. They would be much nicer than those plastic ones. I suppose I could even build a few sets of fiberglass ones if a few of you guys are interested. i have built several sets for the 73-87 bodystyle, what size speaker are you wanting to run?

What size speakers do the Q-logics hold?

I believe they take up to 6" speakers. I am using Kicker 5.5's.

The q-logic will accept some 6.5" speakers, but there are issues with grille fitment if you use a 6.5", a 5.25" is recommended for best fit. :cool:

The Q-Logic's will hold a 6" speaker. The absolute biggest speaker that will fit can only be 6.25" outside the frame. I'm using some 6" Rockford Fosgates in mine.

What about you pre-75 guys? What are you doing when you mount your door speakers since the door isn't flat where the speaker would mount & these years don't have a panel that covers this area?

Another question.... How deep of a speaker can you actually mount behind those kick-panel style 'pods'? They have mounting locations for component speakers but don't look like they allow for much mounting depth.... which from my research is something mid-range components require.

I am just going to make a panel to cover the area in the '73. I had a pair of the old jl audio 5-1/4" speakers in mine and they are very very deep with no problems.

That's what the stereo joint I went to said they could do. But.... that's not for me.

Can someone post a pic w/a measurement of how deep the backside of those kick panel pods are?
