Climate control stuff

I was wondering what hints the board might have to get all my heater and a/c controls operating smoothly again. As it stands they're a bear to get from one side of the control to the other. I'm afraid I'll break something if it goes on at this degree of difficulty.
Thanks

I think just about every board vendor sells repair kits that should correct this problem but looking closely at my controls i coundnt begin to tell you how to install one of these kits. IMO if you have some time keep an eye on the parts forum because guys sell these controls cheap and if your not in a big hurry i will be posting one for sale myself within the next month or so whevener im done using it as a model for the one im building.

Lots of threads on this. Biggest a/c problem is one duct that has a door that allways breaks. Best thing to do is take it apart and have a looksy.

Sounds like the problem I had. Oil all the control cables with some wd40 and see if they get easier to operate.

Look at your cables, see if there are tught bends or kinks in the housing, or in the cable going into the housing.
Spray some good lube at both ends of the cable (if accessable) while some one is sliding it back and forth. You want to soak it, the more that gets in, the better. Just wipe up the mess you bade afterwards.
I would go with PB blaster or kroil.
