What year did they switch from leaf springs to tariling arms and coils. A freind of mine asked recently and I wasnt sure?

Like LUV2XCLR8 said, it's complicated, but the basic answer would be that trailing arm/coil spring rear suspensions were first available in 1960. 1 ton trucks never got them and not all 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks had them either.
