Long :bowtie: fleet and short :gmc: step.

I wish I could drive them!!!!!!!

Found these in a local hobby shop. I have not seen any of our truck in model form in a long time, so I decided I needed to get me an early Christmas present.

That's cool.I hope I can find them here soon.I haven't done a model in a few years,I would do one like that though:D

Very

I took the easy way out. :p Bought a pre-assembled die-cast truck on eBay:

Johnny Lightning 1:18 die-cast '68 Chevy.

Palf70Step 12-17-2004 08:49 PM

No Krue they only had one of each.

Palf70Step 12-17-2004 09:14 PM

Krue evidently it is a discontinued model from 1990

It is AMT Model #6081

Did a search and most want more than $45 for it.

Guess I got lucky. I'll keep an eye out for one.

68 Stepside 12-17-2004 09:33 PM

I found the GMC Stepside sealed for 10 bucks at a flea market this summer, they're still out there, just not real easy to find. Looks like AMT brought back the 72 long fleet finally....that's cool too, I'll have to pick one up.

c10crazy 12-17-2004 09:59 PM

Those are cool. I saw that johnny lightning for about $35 on ebay.

67ChevyRedneck 12-18-2004 01:15 AM

yup, the 72 has been reissued by AMT...I have one of the originals from the early 90's??? I also have the stepside, but I haven't seen another one since I was a kid. Hopefully wal-mart will start to carry the new 72...they are much cheaper than hobby shops or e-bay. shouldn't be more than $8.99........

Wow,, nice score. I bet there totally rust free too.

chevy71super 12-19-2004 07:24 PM

I saw the blue and white 72 in a hobby shop north of Seattle. They wanted $13.00 for it. If anyone wants it I can buy it for you. With taxes and shipping it will cost you about $20.00.

Yup, found the Chevy kit a few weeks ago. This is how I am building mine:

now they just need to reissue the blazer kit with a lift kit.

chevy71super 12-19-2004 10:49 PM

The also had the USA #1 monster truck but unfortunately it was based on a late 80's model. (Maybe I should buy them both and mount the 72 on the monster truck's chasis . . . h'mmm)
