Hualers: Let's see what you pull your trailers with
Okay Guys I've seen a few pics around here with your trucks and trailers. Lets see what you guys use to hual with, especially anyone that make a statement. They need not bear any of the Generals names.
I thinking as a future project, of buildup on a International KB series truck from the late forties. Just think if you dropped a 375 cat in. :D Should also handle 15000 lbs too! Jamie |

I have 3 Cummins diesel pickups. All have standard transmissions and the two newer ones are the HO engine.
I tow a trailer 5 or 6 days a week usually. Depends on which trailer as to which truck I use to pull with. The grey truck is my wife's daily driver. |

2002 ram sport 1/2.4.7 gas!!!It has the power to tow but not the springs!!!hauled a 67 gmc 1-ton with it at 100km/h but it was hard on it.I have a 72 gmc 1-ton that will replace it. :gmc:

Im on vacation up here in washington so I don't have any pics right now. But my rig is a 04 2500HD CCSB with the 8.1L Allision and 4.10's with a eaton posi oh yeah its 4X4 also.

Zeeklu, That is some pretty impresive iron. Then largest load I've see is when at work when the moved the three low pressure turbines about mile and a half for one of the 900 MegaWatt electric generating units. I'll have to get a closer look if they bring in anymore to complete the turbine swaps in the other 2 units. Also have the largest motors you'll ever see 11 MW power, about 14600 HP assuming 750 W = 1 HP, and that's no :bs:

heres the best pic of mine with a trailer, 89 LD K2500, stock 350 with 223K miles in this pic, up to 226K now and i just used it for the same thing last weekend.. its out of commision until tomarow when i put the repaired radiator in though
PS-those things weigh 1500-2000 lbs each per roll, 8 of em on there... i think in that pic its the 6 ft rolls (closer to 1 ton per roll)... they're sitting on a 20 ft steel flat bed with wood floor |

i like the COE..that will be sweet...post picks of progress.
I know where the is a big COE near me..and everytime i drive buy i want to buy it and take it home...but never stop, and never have anything big enough to take it home with. but it would make a KickA** CarCarrier |

we have it on a 91 gm motor home frame...will be the first time we have tried to make a crew cab..so if any of u have tried ..let me know what we r in for ...we have two coe's..and one parts truck...hope to make a nice looking ,and dependable hauler.......

only a 5 speed and tops out at 57mph, has a 20k lbs winch in the back, only a 10k lbs up front. :rolleyes: |

as far as the QuadCab COE - it won't be easy. I think if i was doing it I would find a regular truck cab of the same year and use the full size doors. for the rear. Making the "B Pillar" or center Pillar is going to be the tough part. I would just cut the roof of the one cab in the front and the back onthe other and start welding....carefully Motor Home frame huh? that's a good idea. never thought of that...and you can find them with BBCs in them too!!! is it a pain to remove the motor home part? or is it a bolt on deal like any other truck? |

we had to torch the motor home part off it was welded to the frame!!! but a big dozier and a good torch operator made easy work of it hehe
