Looks like airing down would of helped and maybe some weight on the flat bed too.

I think sand is better than mud. At least the digging part.

67ChevyRedneck 12-19-2004 06:58 PM

The original bed rust off, just guessing from the NY plates??? I have done the same thing as well, except in mud. I was driving my truck around the back of my dads newly built garage and the ground was really wet and muddy. Didn't even spin....just instantly sank. The frame was sitting on the ground. Sorry, no pics, I don't take pics of MY stupidity, just others!

At least you werent in the tide zone. I've seen several like that. Last one was my brothers 4runner! Ship waves were breakin onto the side of it. Course we couldnt pull it out till the tide went out some, my other brothers pickup wanted to float(the 4runner was too far out in the water) He had 39" cepeks on a yota pickup.

I've actually pulled a 96 dodge out of the soft stuff like that with my 70 2wheel drive lowered longbed. Street tires just dont dig down, so I kinda just floated along on top!
