Track video Goodys86

Finally dragged my ass out of the stone age and created a web site. Atleast now I can host my videos. Sorry this ones long because my wife started filming early. Too bad she didn't get me taking down a Vette before this one. (just an RX7)
Track conditions were crap...

Hell yeah man that is some quality stuff ya got there. What's all the specs on the motor? And, what does she run in the 1/4.

gldevall 12-20-2004 07:34 PM

That is just to f'ing cool!!! I'll be glad when my truck is that fast.

Goodys86 12-20-2004 09:35 PM

Thanks, motors built with Eagle low end, TRW's and Crane cam w/ Dart heads. I need to tune on the carb some. My only time at the 1/4 mi track was 13.2 sec, but she's got high 12's in her I'm sure.
It's alot of fun on the street though, still needs alittle work.
gldevall, 14's aint bad at all.

Could you give us a little more info on your setup. What cam, heads, CR, tranny, TC , carb. :(

784X4GUY 12-21-2004 01:12 AM

Very nice man. Well good luck with her in the future.

Goodys86, Cool video! Do you run at Jax Raceway much? I've done a lot of my racing at Jax. Check out the drag race video's link in my signature. I can trim that video and make it smaller for you. Just let me know how much of the video you want.

784X4GUY 12-21-2004 12:06 PM

Goodys86 Thanks man yeah it is pretty fun when ya get it off the pavement.

784X4GUY 12-21-2004 12:07 PM

383 Stroker I was wondering how much power do you think you are producing out of your small block. And what do you run in the 1/4?

Not enough. lol. I really don't know how much hp it makes, I've never dynoed it. I'm running a 150hp shot of nitrous, so that helps a lot. Maybe 500hp with the nitrous. I've never run the 1/4 mile, but should run 12.0's.

784X4GUY 12-21-2004 05:20 PM

I got ya man well good luck with it.

Goodys86 12-21-2004 07:26 PM

383 Stroker I've only been to Jax twice with the truck. I've had my Firebird there a few times too. In fact, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing your truck there. That thing runs good!
As far as the video , yes I'd like to shorten it because it takes up all the space on my site. The problem is its too big for me to email it. If you know of another way let me know. :burnout:

I have never worked with video before, but I gave it a try using the editing software that comes with Windows XP.

Goodys86-please save it ASAP if it works. I plan to pull it down tomorrow before I use up too much bandwidth.

It looks a lot different looking at it as it was moving on the outside (trackside). The other video it didn't really "look" that fast viewing it from inside the cab. I guess there just wasn't anything to reference it to and actually see how fast it really is.

Thanks for sharing the video its pretty awesome!

Goodys86 12-22-2004 01:39 PM

Thanks Slonaker, it worked great. I saved it and it's 20 times smaller so thanks alot. I'm gonna take down the origional soon to make room, but I'll post the new shortened video back up.
Mylilbowtie, no problem, hope to have some more before long to share. Thanks.

Glad to help. I even got to learn something in the process.

If you upload my version, but give it the same name as the old version, people who click on the link in the first post (like most will do...) will still be able to see it. Just a thought...
