I like the Flintstone style floor option.
I'm gonna have to copy your Tach design. I've already painted my cluster grey.
Nice truck

make sure to wear some good shoes while driving..in case the breaks go out on you at least you can stick your foot down in a last ditch effort

wheres the shifter? blended in i guess...or do you use the big screwdriver method??

haha, the only thing the hole in the floor is good for is spraying the interior with mud and water

the paint on the shifter is drying right now, it'll go back in tomorrow

71-longbed 12-23-2004 05:15 PM

ah .. optional floor vents :D ...

Palf70Step 12-23-2004 06:18 PM

Optionsal Floor vents....
Duct tape, lots of it should take care of that floor board. If you feel rich, cardboard, then duct tape.

71-longbed 12-23-2004 06:25 PM

i chuck of thin plywood would hold up better than cardboard ...just a thought

dregs454 12-23-2004 10:56 PM

well, I don't really want any duct tape or card board. I might get used to it... one day I will either get a new cab, or fix that one...

Brainchild 12-23-2004 11:46 PM

I see a lot of potential. That grille looks way better than mine:(

As for the hole, duct tape and spray it with RhinoLiner:p

HeavyD 12-24-2004 01:32 AM

Nice truck..looks just like mine, especially the floors! :D

magnethead 12-24-2004 02:43 AM

is that what our truck will look like if we dont fix that body cancer? eek!

FRENCHBLUE72 12-26-2004 11:50 AM

Clean looking ride just needing some floor patch's.. Is the gmc grill really as cherry as it looks in the pic's you just don't see em that nice anymore.

dregs454 12-27-2004 01:46 AM

the grille is in really good condition, but all the black paint is worn off, it was protected all its life behind a huge ugly bush bumper

quicksilver 12-30-2004 04:56 PM

Dude, I'm diggin the fire extinguisher on the passenger side. I hope you never need it! I feel your pain on the floor as well. I had another 72 C-10 that really sucked to drive down dirt roads in the summer, you might know what I mean-dust in the cab baby. Other than that, the truck looks like it has some potential. ;)

784X4GUY 12-30-2004 07:30 PM

Oh yeah nice floor vents ya got there. Anyways good luck with it man...Later Mike

Hey dregs454, our beaters almost could pass for twins…

Canadian694x4 12-30-2004 08:47 PM

Nice Beater! Just a Question...How'd ya pass inspection with holes in your floors? Alberta got different inspection standards? I'd love to find a beater for the winter but I'd like to find sumthing that would pass inspection...which is the problem thus far.

HeavyD 12-30-2004 09:17 PM

Does Alberta have mandatory inspection? Here in Sask inspection is only if brought in from out of province or by police order. In years past I have owned stuff that had no place on public roads, cars with wall paneling for floors :(

dregs454 12-30-2004 09:20 PM

well, the truck is actually in BC, I'm just in calgary for school. I didn't have to get an inspection on the truck because it had been insured less than 4 years before I bought it. I'm not sure how it works in alberta, but I will be taking it there sometime... so i really hope i don't need an inspection...

Canadian694x4 12-30-2004 09:54 PM

Man you guys got it sweet out there...everything here needs to pass inspection but once the vehicle is older than 20 they don't require it to pass emissions anymore.

I personally like the cheap insurance for anything older than 25...which is nice for sumone like myself under 25 yrs old that still has to pay insane insurance $$$! That's why I Love my Truck...it only costs me $75 a month for the 6 months I drive 'er in the summer.

I need to move to B.C. :D

corn 12-31-2004 03:29 PM

I love beaters! I want to get one too...corn :metal:

Slammed66 12-31-2004 03:36 PM

Nice truck , when you bring it into alberta , and register it you will have to run it thru and out of province and they SUCK , it definatly will not pass because of those floors. It depends on who you take it to but they can be very picky.

browndawg71 01-02-2005 04:17 PM

floor vents? nah, garbabe shoot.
