What did you buy your truck for christmas?

My truck got a new set of 17x10 and 17x8 boyd coddington smoothies with toyo tire. I let her open them early and she loves em..... :burnout:

Mine got titled and registered for christmas, so I can actually drive it on the street. Now my Camaro on the other hand got a new 3.42 posi rear, upgrading from a 3.08 open.

ECE drop spindles and springs, upper/lower ball joints. And she gets new tires soon after the install. All this snow and steel belts showing just does not work. :banghead:

toddtheodd 12-23-2004 01:55 PM

Mine is getting a new front suspension. Grandparents sent me a christmas check big enough to cover it :metal:.

I got a couple things for my truck:

Four steel 8 lug rims with hubcaps from a '85 3/4 ton
New weatherstrip + sill plates
New Custom/20 emblems and used 8-350 emblems that look awesome!
Cab from a '70 1/2 ton in awesome shape, cab swap will happen next year I hope.

StingRay 12-23-2004 02:33 PM

fresh 350 30 over, torque plate honed, line bored, decked and balanced with hypereutectic flat tops, mild cam, hv oil pump, roller chain, roller tipped rockers and a rebuilt th350 to put behind it. Also two new repro fenders and a bumper.

stickshift_or_walk 12-23-2004 03:44 PM

The 69's getting new stainless mirrors (inside & out), a black cowl screen, and a vacuum gauge.

At least, those are the ones wrapped up under the tree - there's a whole list of other stuff already in various stages of installation that's being billed as part of the Christmas goodies as well... :D

Have any pictures? I would love to see how the 17" smoothies look. I only have 15". Unless the Boyd ones are different than other smoothies?????

Palf70Step 12-23-2004 06:10 PM

parts from the junkyard to rebuild the driver's door as well as a hurst shift knob

Goffer 12-23-2004 06:15 PM

Ceramic coated dynomax headers, and Flowmaster's super 40's. Works all done and sounds great. Plus I love having the exaust dump just before the rear tire on either side.

spencra 12-23-2004 06:20 PM

I'm still making my list via the Chevy Duty catalog. :)

gonebad2 12-23-2004 06:34 PM

The truck is already way too spoiled. However, I am going to finish it up so I can start driving it. It's been in the build process for almost three years.

teeitup 12-23-2004 06:39 PM

My Blazer is hopefully getting sandblasted this week and then getting painted and put back together for summer. I got it a original AM-FM, 72 towhooks, tilt, and speed warning/tach cluster for Christmas!!!
The 67 is getting a set of buddy buckets!! :D

TugOwar 12-23-2004 06:43 PM

Vent window seals, rivet kit, handles and a set of new door locks. Arrived today from Tim Christian. He gave me a good deal and hes easy to do business with. He knows the meaning of customer satisfaction.
