Factory Top or side batt. Terminal?
Who use the top and who uses the side terminals on their batt?
Which one came factory? Cheers :bowtie: |
yeah mine are the same, i got the top one's free cause i need jumpin off fairly regularly...
|
Don't the newer batteries have both the side mounts and top mounts already? You can use the side mounts to the vehicle and use the top mounts to jump.
|
I use the top mounts, just bought some little adapters, so I do want to run a side mount, its just a matter of unscrewing the adapters.
The battery I am running doesn't have side mounts anyways (1200 amp tractory battery) |
top mounts for me!
|
I went to top mounts on my 78. Less problems.

Both use my side for truck top for my amp and cd wires with a top mount adapter.
|
top on the truck (jumping and fixing bad conductivity) and side for the camaro (only because top post wont clear the hood..makes it a pain to get to the 4 gauge amplifier wire)
|
I use the side post for the truck and top if I need jumped...Later Mike

I use the side posts for the starter and stereo amp. The top posts are used for the electric fans. They are connected with gold plated terminals. Each has a plastic cover. They look sharp. :metal:
