parker 1" 12V dc valve

At only 125PSI rating it's useless. And the speed the valve opens is a big factor. I have 1/2" valves in the front, and with the valves as close to the bag as possible, and 150 psi my front almost comes of the ground. With a better compressor running 200psi it'll be insanely fast, and will come off the ground easy. Why would you need to go bigger than 1/2"? When I upgrade to electronic programmable ride, I fear that the system will have a hard time getting to the programed psi. because the air dumps into the bag so fast.

Yep...and it's not a Parker valve (Asco according to the PDF) and you don't even want to know what 1" npt fittings cost.

Bagged72, you're concerns about being to fast for the electronic setup are real, I've heard many complaints about guys who have fast setups and upgraded to electronic...easy fix is ball valves before your valves or add a set of slower valves to your system.

well i thought bigger is better. and it seems that no one will give me an exact valve to get. ive been to a couple shops, posted on this forum about set ups, and asked around. i need to make up my mind and get valves soon. any guidance would help. i dont want to hop right now, but in the near future i want to. so i would like to buy valves once.

Buy new gc 250 3/4 port valves.Great valves for the cost. One 3/4 port valve is equal to 4 1/2 ports. This setup with 3/4 port contis and you will be set.

Shev 01-16-2005 10:18 PM

Holy smokes....what size line? 3/4" line is optimum for 1/2" ports...what the hell would you run for 3/4" ports? Getting a 1 ton with a big block to hop is gonna cost a couple of bucks...

TheFabShop 01-17-2005 12:32 AM

Na run 3/4 line and about 175 to 200 psi with enough volume and you will be plenty fast.

Izzy 01-17-2005 10:10 AM

I never run anything bigger than a 1/2" valve on anything.

Shane 01-17-2005 03:50 PM

actually, it is a Parker valve ... ASCO-Red Hat is owned by the Parker Hannifin Corp.
