Any sway bar from a 67-87 will bolt up. I just picked one up from a salvage yard for 8 bucks! Alot cheaper than a new one.

I have a couple here that can go for $35. Inludes bar and frame brackets. You'll need to get new bushings and clamps thru GM or a new parts dealer.

Does adding the front sway bar to one of our truck make a real improvement. I haven't considered putting one on, but if it upgrades the handling...

A lot of has to do with the present condition of your front end. A front end that is in poor shape may not gain much from a front sway bar...Whereas the rebuilt front end with a new sway bay would gain handling charcteristics.I believe it does help...Did I say that right?
Then again I know enough to be DANGEROUS! HEEHEHE

Here's what I want to make a bracket thats lower profile than the stock ones. I always scrap mine, has anyone made a low profile bracket??

I have a SoLo sway bar on the front of mine. Poly bushing help greatly also. But as far as handling improvement, I built a 68 Short Step, and drove it hard before installing a factory sway bar, with Poly bushings, and the suspension was never rebuilt by me anyway, it was a drastic handling improvement, I would never drive a 62-72 2wd truck without one.

I just bought one yesterday at a local yard for $10 including brackets and decent bushings. It was on a 1980 3/4 ton.

It now resides under my '71 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif
