Ok guys I got a free GMC tail gate offa an 85 Long bed. Will that fit my 78' Chevy Short bed or not? Also have 2 perfect door and a hood off the 85' as well. Will those just blt rgiht on or will some adjusments need to be made? Thx alot guys.

I think the tailgate will work as far as i know. The doors might, but it's hard to say.

tail gate and doors should fit. hood definatly won't fit unless you've done a front clip swap to the 81-up style front clip

Alright kool thx guys. I dunno if I like hte hood anyways...But the doors are free and there ZERo Dents and ZERO rust and its already Primered and everything. So excited!! :)

You might need the hardware to go with the newer gate. They changed up the hinges and stuff in "81 or so, I'm not sure how well it would work with the old hardware.
