I thought I'd ask before playing wheres waldo on vendors websites. This piece bolts to the rocker box on the side facing the fender.Any ideas.

lolife99 01-30-2005 09:37 PM

I think GMCPaul's has them. Not for sure.

Gee_Emm 01-30-2005 11:30 PM

Nope, no repros currently produced. It took me quite a while to find one and man was I ever happy when I did.

Gee_Emm 01-30-2005 11:44 PM

Here is a pic you can use in a WTB post,it is a drivers side but it will help show people where this stupid part is located.

thank GeeEmm, if nothing turns up tomorrow on the phone I'll make a post.

This was covered once before and no, that piece is not currently in reproduction. Looks like a great candidate though. Perhaps if one could find a decent pair, it could be done through one of the larger venders. Doesn't look like rocket science, just a few uncommon angles and some holes. And, it is a common rustout part of the Blazer/Jimmy's. Does the rocker box have to come out to remove that piece??

raggedjim 01-31-2005 10:01 AM

Nope, I pulled it out with the rocker box still in place. Mine looks exactly like Alexis.

We made a couple for Orangeuavol's Blazer-not that hard.

FRENCHBLUE72 02-02-2005 10:29 PM

Alex with the metal skills' you are learning you should be able to fab up that piece pretty easy..

Alexis 02-02-2005 11:22 PM

time vs. everything else. if i get those pieces for reasonable price, which I got to call back to check on that. I'll buy them but if not then I'll fab it up.

GMCPaul 02-02-2005 11:44 PM

We are actually looking for 1 of these so that we can send it off to be reproduced, so if anyone happens upon a drivers or passengers side rocker box forward outer block off plate thats in good condition that they do not need please let us know and we will buy it and get these made.

I know this is old but I gave some bad info I need to correct. I did take mine out with the rocker box still in place, but only because the whole bottom of it was rusted away.

After taking a closer look at the Blazer I realized that if the piece is good it is welded between the rocker box and the rocker panel.

Sorry if I misled anyone on this.

Yup, you can kinda see 3 little tacks at the bottom of the piece in the picture I posted.
